Plastic: Bristol to recycle plastic for first time

Every resident in Bristol will be able to recycle plastic for the first time from November, when the council issues a new recycling tender. The council has recently conducted a trial of plastic bottle (PET and HDPE) recycling collections, and wants to roll it out fully as part of its new waste contract. It is not yet known whether other mixed plastics will be collected.
