Thu, 4 Aug 2011

Imports of plastics into Turkey fell for a third consecutive month in June.

However, this still managed to be the highest total of imports year on year for June since 2000.

The country imported 348,000 tonnes of material in June with the top three exporters to the country being Saudi Arabia with 62,861 tonnes, Iran with 26,640 tonnes and Belgium with 21,217 tonnes.

Turkish imports from Qatar, Singapore, Thailand, Italy, Egypt, Germany, China, Israel, and South Korea all rose compared to May with South Korea exporting a record 20,000 tonnes into the country.

However, exports from USA, Romania, Poland, Pakistan, Norway, Libya, Brazil, Azerbaijan, Mexico, and the UK all fell.
