| Reportedly, India’s Tata Steel was lifting the selling prices of wire rod produced in its Scunthorpe Rod Mill for April delivery in the UK by £125~ £150/ton., driven by recent increases in raw material costs. Andrew Parker, Commercial Manager, Wire Rod and Bright Conversion for Tata Steel’s European operation said that rising prices of raw materials such as iron ore and coking coal have forced the company to hike the price level, while strong market demand have continued sustaining the supply situation.
