How do I Apply for scrap-ex Broker Board Membership?

To join scrap-ex you must be a materials trader, broker or a recycling market professional.

If you work for a recycling or secondary materials business and are employed in the industry full time, then please fill in and return our application form. On receipt of your application form, a staff member of scrap-ex may contact you to request further information. Your application will then be presented to our membership committee and if successful your account will be activated to allow access to the broker boards and trading platform. Please allow 5 business days for us to process your application.

Step-by-step to becoming a broker board member :

1. Fill in our online application form
2. Send in all the required information
3. scrap-ex will contact you by telephone and verify your application
4. Your application will be presented to our membership committee 
5. If successful, your account will be activated to allow listings on the broker boards and / or access to the trading platform.

Broker Board Membership levels:

Bronze Membership (Free): A free membership where you can list materials you have available for sale, however you can not access the online broker board listings.

Silver Membership (£45+vat/ Month): Silver members can list available materials for sale, view all broker board listings online and access contact e-mail system.

Gold Membership (£65+vat/Month): Gold members can list both materials wanted and for sale. Receive e-mail alerts for new material listings and scrap-ex reports, view broker board online and access contact e-mail system. Access phone support from scrap-ex during business hours and use scrap-ex as point of contact on listings to filter enquires.

Platinum Brokerage service(£395+vat): All benefits of gold membership, plus Scrap-ex contracted as agent to source material or sell material with no additional brokerage fees.

Other Broker Board Services:

Broker search fee £2.00 or £3.00 per Tonne depending on membership level and free for platinum members. Instruct scrap-ex to source material or sell material, only chargeable upon successful completion of trade.
