How do I trade PRNs on the scrap-ex Platform?

A company needs to become a registered scrap-ex exchange member to trade on the platform or with us via the telephone.
How do I become a registered scrap-ex member ?
It is FREE to register with us. Complete the online registration form or call us to have one sent directly to you by post.
Simply read and sign our trading terms and conditions for the product or market you are interested in dealing in and return to us.
scrap-ex will then send you a log-in and password.
When can I trade?
The markets are open 8.30am - 5.00pm GMT on each trading day. The desk will be closed on weekends and UK bank holidays.
How do I trade?
To place an order simply log-in to the trading platform or call us on 0844 56 76 830.
The following information is likely to be required when a trader is placing an order:

Whether they are a buyer or seller.

The product that they are interested in dealing in.

Total volume size that is to be traded (normally in tonnes)

The price that they would like to transact at.

The time that they would like this order held as a firm order with scrap-ex.

Any special requirements or product specifications on non-standard deals.
To BUY
Place a bid with scrap-ex on the trading screen or via the telephone.
Or accept the offer from a seller that scrap-ex currently has on the trading screen or in its order book.
To Sell
Place an offer with scrap-ex on the trading screen or via the telephone.
Or accept a bid from a buyer that scrap-ex currently has on the trading screen or in its order book.
As long as all or part of your order remains untraded you can change the price, volume or cancel the order completely at any time.
What happens after I trade through scrap-ex?
Scrap-ex will send a confirmation by email or fax to both buyer and seller.

How much will it cost me?
scrap-ex operates a low cost fixed commission pricing structure details of which are contained in the terms and conditions of the market that you are dealing in.
